The Silent Sleep™ Oral Appliance Can Be Used For:

• Managing snoring
• Treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
• Reducing the effects of bruxism (teeth grinding)
• Evaluating patient response and compliance with oral appliance therapy
• Temporary use while a custom appliance is being created
• As a backup device for travel or outdoor activities like camping
• An alternative to CPAP during travel or camping
• A long-term solution when custom appliances are not feasible
• Use in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment (can be relined as needed to accommodate tooth movement)
• Serving as a protective sports mouthguard

Silent Sleep™ at Mansfield Family Dentistry

The Silent Sleep™ oral appliance is a single-piece tray system customized chair-side using GC Reline™, a vinyl polysiloxane material.

The device is molded to the patient’s back teeth while the lower jaw is slightly advanced. This forward positioning, combined with restriction of backward jaw movement during sleep, helps keep the airway open and reduces snoring and/or symptoms of sleep apnea in patients who benefit from mandibular advancement therapy.
